Going to do an interview and promotion of the book with the local Talking Newspaper. This is for people who cannot read for themselves and is a really valuable service. They do interviews and features weekly, and it's been a real pleasure to be invited.

Today my local paper, the Shropshire Star wrote a very nice piece about me, and my book. They're good like that, balancing national and worldwide stories with those more close to home. And, how appropriate that the journalist's name is Chris Burns!!

It was 2.00pm. I was sitting in my dressing gown in my study hard at work editing the next book 'Great Bales of Fire'. The door bell rang and I opened the door to a courier. After double taking my choice of clothing he gave me a heavily reinforced package........ Turned out to be a congratulatory bottle of champagne from my publisher at Orion, Alan Samson. Got an email from my agent today telling me my book had been included within The Bookseller Magazine. This I'm told is very encouraging. This is the magazine read by all the leading bookshops and shows that the editor feels All Fired Up is a book they feel significant enough to feature.

Well, it's here at last, the official launch of All Fired Up. What a wonderful journey it's been so far, and really this is just the beginning as this is just the first of a series of books.
14 separate radio interviews yesterday, a section in the national bookseller's magazine today, (very significant apparantly), and a tweet from Waterstones saying the books are "Flying off the shelves". What a wonderful thing to hear! And there's lots more promoting to do over the coming months....

A friend from London's just emailed to say that he walked into a Waterstones in Greenwich and saw a display of All Fired Up on a central table. Great placing in, as he says, 'Tourist Central'!!
